Chamber Orchestra Workshop for children 2016-2017
"SILENT FILM from Music Mathisis"
During the academic year 2016-2017, the Attiko Conservatory will be hosting again the Chamber Orchestra Workshop for children, organised by Music Mathisis.
A Walt Disney comic book was converted by digital technology into 250 frames and turned into a film.
Alongside the screening of the movie, the Children’s Orchestra of musicmathisis will perform 28 different musical sections composed and orchestrated by Giorgos Peristeris.
Rehearsals start again in November 4 at 17.00 -18.30.
The workshop will conclude with the presentation of the piece in December 2016 at the Attiko Conservatory’s concert hall.
The workshop is mostly geared towards children who are taking their first steps in the musical education of an instrument.
The main purpose of Music Mathisis is to encourage children’s love for music and to help them express their emotions and thoughts through a participatory process.
The idea for the creation of Music Mathisis was born during the winter of 2013 by violinist and composer Giorgos Peristeris.
